“What if that was me?”

I’m a big fan of the photographer David Gilkey so today I’m highlighting a couple of exceptional multimedia pieces that feature his photography and his voice.

The first is from Gaza and the second Haiti where in typical reflective style he asks the question, “What if it was me?”

NPR in Gaza, A Photographer’s Journal from NPR on Vimeo.

David traveled to Haiti just after the earthquake left the capital in ruins. Back in D.C., he reflects on his experiences photographing amid the wreckage.
