Eugene Richards won the Amnesty International Photojournalism Award for his portfolio “No One Much Cares,” a powerful and disturbing study documenting patients inside psychiatric institutions in Mexico, Armenia, Paraguay, Hungary, Kosovo, and Argentina. The work was commissioned by Mental Disability Rights International an international organisation dedicated to promoting the human rights and full participation in society of people with mental disabilities.
